Faulty or Damaged

In the rare event that goods are delivered faulty or damaged please contact us we can arrange a replacement or a refund. Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged, or when a manufacturing fault occurs within 6 months of purchase. Manufacturing faults do not include: wear and tear, oxidisation, tarnishing, fading plating, broken chains, cracked or broken stones or bending of earrings etc. Items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty.

Broken Chains.

Chain breakages happen for various reasons, most commonly being an accidental tug, simple wear and tear or the use of perfume and cosmetics. If the necklace has been tugged/or broken due to wear and tear, this will be because the chain has stretched and snapped.

Plating and Tarnishing

Plating rubbing off or tarnishing is a natural part of wear and tear, and is not considered a manufacturing fault. Different skin acidity levels and how the product is worn/stored will influence the life of our products. Silver tarnishes in air, particularly in hot and humid weather.

Storage and Care

Air, perfume, chlorinated or salt water and household cleaning products can all damage or tarnish your silver jewellery. When not in use, store your jewellery in a box/ pouch such as the original packaging to avoid damage to the item. Keep all jewellery dry at all times. Do not place next to heater, window, air conditioner or in the bathroom. Please avoid storing your jewellery in damp and hot conditions as this can cause silver and gold plating to discolour and tarnish. Never wear your jewellery whilst swimming or bathing, washing up, cleaning or using chemicals, performing sports or heavy-duty activities. Always put your jewellery on last when getting ready to avoid contact with chemicals found in perfume, hair and beauty products etc. Skin and hair products such as body lotions, perfumes and creams can react adversely with jewellery causing precious metals to tarnish and/or erode Jewellery should be taken off before bed. We generally recommend using a silver polishing cloth once a week to wipe the surface of your jewellery to remove light tarnish. Use gentle pressure taking care not to wipe too hard on plated items to avoid faded plating. We do not take any responsibility if the item is over cleaned and plating has faded.
